DES 100 - 10 Attempted Posters, 3 Attempted Recreations of Posters, 1 Movie Poster
These are my 10 attempts at creating posters through the videos provided. Majority of the tools that I used in these posters involved Blend, Stylise to scribble, Circles which were clipped in half using the scissors tool. The blend tool along with the mesh tool was used to make the 4th poster and the colourful gradient in the 6th poster.
The posters below took a bit of time to create, mainly the spiral effect and the 3D one. The only reason that the first one took some time was because I could not pause or rewind the tutorial, in order to review the steps that were taken to make the spiral effect. Due to the fact that the tutorial was posted on Instagram and I couldn't find the real video on the individual's page as it had been quite some time since he posted the video.
The gradient more or less could've been completed within 10 - 15 minutes, however I was so obsessed with it looking exactly the same gradient flow of colours into each, e.g. the way that they blend into one another.
As for the 3D poster I had a lot of trouble aligning the text with each to make the 3D effect as the text would snap to the grid, making it quite challenging to get it into the right spot. The text on the bottom was lazy on my part, as I could've chosen a smaller word to allow the text to align it to the other two text on the sides.
The first two posters were probably the most fun to create as they were quite simple and produced an amazing outcome. I can see how I can use these tools or experience in order to make a combination of these posters or something around that, in the future. If I'm going to be honest at first glance I expected the gradient art poster to be the most difficult to follow the instructions and make. Surprisingly when I watched how it was done, I was almost dumbfounded at the fact that I didn't consider making this poster first.

These next images along with text are the 3 posters I tried my best to replicate.
The third poster I had done, was pretty simple although I wasn't able to achieve that sort of lava effect or fiery effect. It seems through the advice on my tutor this effect is only achievable through photoshop. As for the replacement of the guy in the middle of the poster I decided to add an Ai generated image which was made in Adobe illustrator, I felt that a skull would be suitable for the replacement of the guy in the middle. In case I got in trouble for this I thought I would also add a screenshot of the text I put in the prompt box in order to generate this image.

This final section of my documentary is the steps I took in order to achieve the final outcome of the poster.
